Food safety isn’t a topic I normally get too excited about.
But over the holidays, with BBQ season in full swing here, there were 2 occasions where I witnessed the golden rule being broken.
So what is this golden rule I speaketh of?
It’s simple:
“Cooked meat, poultry and fish should never touch the same surface as raw meat, poultry and fish.”
So if you see someone breaking the golden rule. Please let them know. Or get them a clean plate to put the meat from the BBQ on.
It’s such a simple thing but it makes a world of difference
Have a great (safe food) weekend!
Cheers,
Jules x

Wondering if you should make the most of the Stonesoup Virtual Cookery School sale?
Here’s what current students are saying about the school…
“I like having access to all kinds of information about food and cooking, not just recipes. It’s an ever growing body of work that I can access whenever I like.”
Libby, SVCS student
“Love the videos; cooking works very well in this format (as opposed to something like yoga or a golf swing or learning the violin where someone needs hands-on supervision to make sure they’re doing things right)”
Jim, SVCS student
“I like Jules no nonsense style … She doesn’t use fancy equipment and she uses a lot of veggies … It is easy and tastes fantastic! I can do the classes whenever I want… Right now I lie in my bed… It is 01:35 … My husband is snoring…”
Lieve, SVCS student
